I did try that without success. I finally decided that re-entering all the child values was worth it though and completely deleted the record. I re-added it and that did the trick. I am still weirded out by the problem happening in the first place though. If anyone has any ideas what happened, I would appreciate any input. If it isn't an AutoNumber field, try re-entering the value 1. Susan H. I have one value in a combo box that will not work correctly. The hidden column 1 is a customer number. The visible column 2 is [CustomerNUmber] & "; " & [CustomerName]. If I type the customer number and tab, I get a value not in list error. If I use a different customer number and tab, the value saves. If I expose column 1 then this customer number is saved. If I select the customer using a mouse, the value saves. -- AccessD mailing list AccessD at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/accessd Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com - JENKENS & GILCHRIST E-MAIL NOTICE - This transmission may be: (1) subject to the Attorney-Client Privilege, (2) an attorney work product, or (3) strictly confidential.
