Try Under Folder Options >> View Tab >> at the very bottom uncheck "Use
Simple File Sharing"

I am using Windows XP Pro on all of my machines, including my dev laptop.  I
am seeing references to 

"in Explorer, right click a folder, select properties, then select the
security tab"

I don't have a security tab.  Any ideas why not?
