That isn't available in A2K or below.

The surest way is to read a registry key:

For NT, Win2K and above,
It's "Device" under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

In W95/98/XP
It's "Default" under
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers
