Boy is THAT just confusing as hell. Does that mean that even if some users have DAO03.6 if SOMEONE (the first user?) opens it with row level locking all people, whether they have DAO3.6, will use row level locking? Does it mean that even if you have 4.0, if the first user does NOT specifically opens it using row level locking, then it opens without and no one will be able to use row level locking? It DOES appear to say that if the first user in the DB does NOT use row level locking then nobody can use it. Is it just me, or is that article less than helpful? John W. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Under what situations does it need to be dealt with? My system uses AXP in a split FE/BE configuration. http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306435 Thanks, Dan -- AccessD mailing list AccessD at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/accessd Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
