Hi Bruce:

I would like to but do you know of a stable disk scanner hex-editor that
will run on a Server without crashing? Norton's use to make a great product
before Windows95....

Jim

<snip>
and then rename like this: \com1*\o0oKaro0o\here\
(*=space)
<snip>

Does anyone here know how to get rid of the thing?

Its possibly not a space but a non-displayable character. Try copying
the folder name from explorer into a hexeditor.
