[AccessD] Sub Report not going into Two Columns

David,

It has been stated in your post that there are no records. Yet it is mentioned that when run as independent report, the two columns display nicely, filling up two pages. Could you please clarify this apparent contradiction?

Various values as actually existing on Columns tab of page set up dialog box of the report may also please be furnished. If you are getting two column output in independent report mode, it can be ensured that you get similar display in subreport mode.

With Across, then Down (A&D) layout, it is straightforward. However, in this case, there can be awkward white spaces if the contents of records across columns do not always measure up to same number of lines. Down, then Across (D&A) layout overcomes such drawback but routine adoption of this layout in a subreport puts everything into one column (even though the original report is designed for two columns). There is a solution for that too.

Best wishes,
A.D.Tejpal

Thanks for the reply William. I tried all that with no joy. I might
just have to go to fixed formatting.
