That is possible. But it still does that when the other thing is closed. It continues to do it until you kill it. Importance: Low Bobby, I suspect that what you describe as flickering is the result of time slicing between the macro operation in Access and whatever you're doing elsewhere. With an intensive operation in Access, which is something of a hog on resources, you may have to go have coffee and not try to do anything else while it's running. Charlotte Foust
