Gustav, I've reset my Outlook Express to use my australian ISP smtp server relayed... Port 80 doesn't work - with port 25 and 127.0.0.1 the email gets sent from Outlook Express - but not very far! So what - or where! - do you think is the problem area here - how to get the email out onto the internet? Is it with my local setup or with the ISP ? I don't even have a contact number for the ISP here in Shanghai- and even if I did I wouldn't get far due to the language barrier here... Would a bit of popcorn help to give answers here? regards borge ----- Original Message ----- From: "Borge Hansen" <pcs at azizaz.com> To: <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2006 7:29 PM Subject: Fw: [AccessD] OT SMTP Local Server > Hmmmm.... email as others was sent straight to the QUEUE folder as explained in > first email... > Trying port 80 as a wild guess... > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Borge Hansen" <pcs at azizaz.com> > To: "Access Developers discussion and problem solving" > <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> > Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2006 7:21 PM > Subject: Re: [AccessD] OT SMTP Local Server > > > > Thanks Gustav, .. as always! > > If you read this, adjusting my Outlook Express to use 127.0.0.1 (local smtp > > server) with no authencation is working! > > ... > > borge > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Gustav Brock" <Gustav at cactus.dk> > > To: <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> > > Sent: Thursday, June 08, 2006 6:41 PM > > Subject: Re: [AccessD] OT SMTP Local Server > > > > > > > Hi Borge > > > > > > Sounds like port 25 could be blocked for outbound traffic by the ISP.
