Dear List: Didn't get any response to this on tech. Maybe someone here knows the answer. Of course, the low ink warning comes up when the carts are still about 1/3 full but that's the scam. Give away the razor, sell the blade. Anyway, I refilled the cartridges but the warning still comes up every time I print something. Apparently these printers are "chipped" with some kind of bogus counter rather than actually sensing the ink level. In any event I combed the net looking for info on resetting this counter (without actually having to spend $40-50 on new carts which is what the printer retails for anyway). Does anyone know how or even if this counter can be reset so the low ink nag screen doesn't pop up every time I print something.
