If I had to guess, I would say that one field in the table you are linking to is able to contain more data than Access can handle. Perhaps Access is mapping a field as text when it actually contains more data than a text field can handle (255 characters). Or perhaps there is a field that Access simply does not understand how to map, contains a data type that Access simply cannot handle. I would look at the table itself, inside of OpenEdge and see what kinds of data the table contains. John W.
