...if you have the Office 10/11 object model installed, the File Dialog 
Object is imnsho, by far the most useful for this purpose ...if not the 
common dialog or file system objects will work with call backs but with 
limitations.

www.helenfeddema.com has a couple of detailed articles on their use and he 
pros and cons of both ...along with sample dbs.
