[AccessD] OT: AV and the New Box

Dear list:

 

I got a new machine that came pre-loaded with McAfee.  It seems to be pretty
well laced into the whole OS.  I'm considering removing the entire thing.
I'll put in AVG for anti-virus and Sygate for firewall.

 

I'm also considering forgetting about the firewall and I'm already behind a
hardware firewall with the router.  So software firewall seems redundant and
may cause more problems than it solves.

 

 

Any opinions?
