I've used Belarc Advisor and it sometimes shows keys (along with every other piece of info about your PC!). It's at: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html Dan -----Original Message----- Subject: Re: [AccessD] mystery software keys Hi David, If the software is already installed in a computer or computers you can sometimes search the registry for say the first 5 characters of the key , for example I searched for T499P and the PDKey was located in hklm\software\\\\Visual Studio\\\ So I would know that that key was for my VS 2005. Any that can be found can be marked perhaps shortening the list of unknown. You can also use a program called SIW that will show many licenses under it's secret tab. SIW does not work on Vista 64 but does on XP. Google SIW Hope this helps a little Bill ----- Original Message ----- Subject: [AccessD] mystery software keys >I have a friend who has a list of software keys from microsoft that > came with software cd's.
