Hi Rocky,
You could use a dcount("*","tableOrqueryetc","Your Where condition") before
doing anything else.

On a bound form a modifying the Recordsource with WHERE conditions might
result in no records being retrieved. Then there are lots of things you can
do which generate errors. Is there a way to detect this no record condition
in a bound form?
