[AccessD] Linked Tables Question

I don't believe I've had this happen when I've split databases before.

I moved the main tables to a different database, and then created links in 
my front end. The links work fine, but the queries referencing those 
tables can't find them. I have to go into each query, add the table (i.e., 
link), reconfigure each reference from the "missing" table to the present 
link, and then resave it. 

Is there some way to avoid this?
