hi Daren, It's Sunday and not many appear to be working today so I'll take a SWAG. Is it possible that the Shell command is opening a dos window to open the batch file, then the batch file is opening a dos widow to do it's thing.??? The syntax is valid - everything is cool - but 2 of them open up and then start trying to process the lines in the batch file And no. There is not some second call buried elsewhere in the code Many thanks Have a great day Darren -- AccessD mailing list AccessD at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/accessd Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
