Jim, I do this kind of thing at all my customers, but the documents are not stored in the database. They are moved/copied/deleted using code (File System Objects) or sent via code as email attachments (Outlook or vbSendMail). Each time this comes up the IT folks are relived that documents are not stored in the database. Best of Luck! I have a requirement to store / retrieve Word Documents (maybe PDFs) within Access. These documents will be sent between our client and us several times. Once completed the documents need to be stored in their original format with easy retrieval. I thought of storing the documents in SQL using the image data type, but I'm not too sure if that is the correct data type nor am I sure if they can be received easily. Any suggestions?
