LOL, I do love Californians.  You get up in the north east and they express
astonishment that you are driving 60 miles to the coast, "all the way across
the state". 

You are out in the valley somewhere right?  Sacramento maybe?

In the hills north of Watsonville, it's a Watsonville address.  Due west of
Santa Cruz about 15 miles.

My uncle has a home there and every year does a family BBQ, usually on the
4th of July weekend.  This year it will be the labor day weekend.  I think
the last time I was in California was at your house for an AccessD
conference.
