For the record, ADO is the default for Access 2000 and Access 2002. 
Then Microsoft saw the error of their ways :-) and DAO became the 
default for Access 2003 and Access 2007.  Access 2007 ships with a 
version of DAO that has been significantly enhanced to work with the ACE 
database engine.
