years.  It seems I have finally ARRIVED!

It seems as if you are approaching a state of - ehh - total confusion ...

An invisible button can very well be enabled and will accept a click or
enter. In fact, that is an old trick to do magic when the user is tabbing
around or clicking on a small graphic simulating a custom designed button.

BTW, since a control that is not visible cannot have the focus, the same
applies to setting a control to invisible.
