ok... Thanks Susan, I like to read stuff there (especially from you folks) and I do learn lots, but I just cant see much advantage to actually having to sign up. Maybe I am getting old and cranky and cannot be bothered being subbed to too many things. I just feel that tech republic would be one too many - nothing against TR, I think one more of anything would be one too many - however if there was some great advantage to being subbed up to TR I would probably do it. It seems like I will be happy just to be a lurker there. on an aside - I always find it slightly unnerving when a reply shows up before my post has appeared!! I thought us Aussies were meant to be ahead of many of you in time and space!! kind regards Darryl. -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com]On Behalf Of Susan Harkins Sent: Friday, 4 July 2008 10:10 AM To: Access Developers discussion and problem solving Subject: Re: [AccessD] OT: Tech Republic (was Article on stuff broken inAccess2007) Well, I'd like to think that I write useful articles and blog entries. Having said that, I realize that everything I write has a limited audience. TechRepublic tackles a wide range of topics, from user type solutions to high end IT and developer issues. But, I'll admit -- when I need a specific solution, I come here. You can't get the same kind of quick turn around at TR that we get here. In fact, you can post a question and not get a single response. On the other hand, I learn something new there almost every day -- but the catch is, it isn't always something I can put to immediate use.
