If this app is to work in the real world then I think that building a hedge  
fund app is beyond the average db developer. Its a team job with experts in  
several areas. The db building is the easy bit,  defining the system  
boundaries and what functionality is to be included are major issues.
 
Not to mention the legal implecations if the db cockups a contract(Put or  
Call)
