Darryl: The error is not dependably reproducible. Seems random. He's running over a network with other users. I wonder if it could be related to that. Hey Rocky, Just as a guess, have you tried to reference the sub form specifically? [Forms]![frm_MainForm].[frm_SubForm].[Form].requery I find this approach is less flakey than using Me.whatever. regards Darryl. -----Original Message----- From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com]On Behalf Of Rocky Smolin at Beach Access Software Sent: Thursday, 15 May 2008 2:30 PM To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' Subject: [AccessD] A2K3 vs A2K7? Dear List: I have an app in development in 2003. My client tests it in 2007 and occasionally we find something that works in A2K3 and not in A2K7. Now I have a statement in a subform on a form and after manipulating the data in the table that is the recordsource for the sub-form I issue a Me.Requery. Which works in A2K3. But when he tries it in A2K7 he gets an error "2467: The expression you entered refers to an object that is closed or doesn't exist". Since the object, in this case the sub-form, is open and does exists, I think the error might be misleading and may actually be a result of some other condition. But I don't know. Has anyone seen this behavior? Any theories?
