If you're trying to build a .NET services architecture, synchronizing
data between multiple disparate platforms,
or learning the loftier precepts of database management, SQL Server will
help you most.
If you're building a third-party-hosted Web site, pushing a lot of data
out to a lot of clients, or have a budget in the neighborhood of free,
then MySQL will be your best bet.
