I've run into similar problems when an MDB needs to access resources on
another machine. What I've had to do in these situations is to change the
security settings in IE. In IE, Tools, Internet Options, Security, Trusted
Sites, Sites button Add IP address (no slashes) and uncheck "Require server
verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
