Max DOT wandoo AT gmail.com Once you have set a reference it has "access" to all the code in that library so it should work or else throw an error which should be Google'able (have I just invented a new word?) I've spent a little time in both Excel and Word's VBA Help and can't find anything helpful on hiding the ribbon -- even the Object Browser turns up nothing. Well, it turns up stuff, just nothing I could use. Surely you can hide the ribbon programmatically in Word and Excel?
