I have it installed on all of my machines as well and it never branded me a thief.  OTOH I was 
working on a neighbor's machine and it came in as one of the updates.  It branded them a thief.

It doesn't seem to shut down the machine, just pops up a "Windows might be pirated" warning.  And 
they had the windows sticker on the side of their machine!
