[AccessD] combo box not displaying data

I would guess that there's something about one of the data fields that's
hosed.  Except you say "The combo box works fine with a different backend,
but not the one I need to use now." but the union query shows the data on
the 'bad' back end and the combo box does not, yes?

WAG - have you checked the table links in the database container?

I hadn't had it open in design view between the time it was working and the 
time it stopped.   I've had it opened in design view a lot since then  :>
