Subject: Re: [AccessD] Group and Page Break
If you want to break on every initial letter:
Set the GroupOn of LastName to "Prefix Characters"
Set the GroupInterval to 1
Set the GroupHeader = "On"
Set ForceNewPage in the GroupHeader to "Before Section"
If you want to group by A-K, M-R, S-Z,
you can create a function and sort/group on that before your LastName
sort/group.
Function GroupBlock(LastName as string) as long Select Case
UCase(Left(LastName,1))
Case "A" to "K"
GroupBlock = 1
Case "M" to "R:
GroupBlock = 2
Case"S" to "Z"
GroupBlock = 3
Case Else 'capture numbers etc
GroupBlock = 0
End Select
End Function
Now either set a top sort/group of = "GroupBlock(LastName)"
or
include GroupBlock(Lastname) as a field on your report's record source and
group on it.
