Whenever I've run into that 'Search key not found' message, it has been a corrupt table. You can sometimes see the bad record if you look at the table - a bunch of # signs in a field. I've always been able to get out of that with a compact and repair, though. With one caveat - occasionally in repairing a table, Access will remove the primary key property of the key fields! The first time that happened, it took me two days to track down the problem. Doug Steele
