This is my understanding of the issue. You have data in the footer of the report and then you have relevant data in the detail section of the report. The footer fills up from the bottom up. That is if the footer's data takes up one inch it fills it up from the bottom margin up. One inch from the margin of page. The detail section is populated from the top down. If the detail's data takes up 2 or 3 inches then it fills the page from the top of the detail section down. There will be a gap if the footer's top margin and detail's bottom margin don't meet. The page is a constant size so by filling in the data for both sections there should be a gap. To fix the issue you'll need to move the footer's data fields to the another section. You could create a group to show the detail data and then another section to show the data from the footer. Is that clear or did I just obfuscate the issue?
