[AccessD] Access with a VPN Versus Access with Remote Desktop (Terminal Services)

It appears that running Access with a VPN is usually not a very good approach and that using Remote Desktop will work much better.

I would like to find a document that explains this in non-technical terms.  Is anyone aware of such a document on the internet?
