Hi William -- Thank you for your notes. I have added them to the project's Issue Tracker. Please feel free next time to add your notes directly there. In setup folder of add-in there should be \Logs subfolder with a log file, which could give me some clues why add-in hangs in some cases. Please send it to me privately. As I noted earlier this release was aimed at testing add-in setup for different MS Access and MS Windows versions - and that worked well. Add-in also works well with test databases supplied with it. I hope most/all of the current issues can be solved but please take into account that add-in uses undocumented feature, and it may happen that for some cases it will not work at all... It would be helpful if you can make an entry directly on project site (new discussion viki) with links to the issues, which you qualify as critical, and arranged in the order you wanted to have them fixed. If I will not leave for short holiday next week then I will try to make critical fixes that next week... (Planned date for the next release - middle of March (in general I'm planning currently one release for every month of this year)) I'm currently working for a customer project which is rather urgent for release.... Export fails on any object with a "/", ")" or "(" in the file name ...gives you an error and then hangs. 2. Export fails on any linked table that doesn't actually exist ...came as a surprise to me that the Access Linked Table Manager does not error on these but actually confirms that the link exists! 3. Restore fails repeatedly with an "object extension not found" error ...never got a successful Restore on the 15Mb mdb I was working with, even with all linked tables removed. 4. Error msgs are cryptic to say the least ...not complaining, just noting that its an area that will have to be worked on at some point :)))) ...don't know how you want to handle these ...I can post them on CodePlex from now on if you prefer or continue to post them here ...or both ...which ever you prefer. ...I'm waiting on your next revision before doing any further testing William -------------------------------------------------- From: "Shamil Salakhetdinov" <shamil at smsconsulting.spb.ru> Sent: Tuesday, February 16, 2010 11:53 AM To: "'Access Developers discussion and problem solving'" <accessd at databaseadvisors.com> Subject: Re: [AccessD] Add-In Express 2009 for MS Office and .NET - > Thank you, Max! > > I have got published Access.PowerTools project on CodePlex - > http://accesspowertools.codeplex.com/. > All the issues you noted on are listed in this project Issue Tracker - > http://accesspowertools.codeplex.com/WorkItem/List.aspx > > Everybody here are very welcome to try this Add-In software, and to post > your feedback here or on project discussion area > http://accesspowertools.codeplex.com/Thread/List.aspx (everybody > registered > to CodePlex and logged-in can comment on its projects, participate in > discussions etc.) > > Thank you. > > -- > Shamil > > -----Original Message----- > From: accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com > [mailto:accessd-bounces at databaseadvisors.com] On Behalf Of Max (MGA) > Sent: Monday, February 15, 2010 11:38 PM > To: 'Access Developers discussion and problem solving' > Subject: Re: [AccessD] Add-In Express 2009 for MS Office and .NET - > > Aha! > > Got it, didn't realise it was on the menu bars.
