Hi Jim,

Yes, it's confusing all right. :-)

Is this inability to access the backend database a permanent affliction?

What sort of "issues" are you experiencing?  Can you give any examples?

On the basis of what you have told us so far, it almost seems like the data 
in the backend may be in a Text field, not a Date/Time field.  Possible?

Otherwise, I can't think of any way any format applied to the design of the 
table, or the format of any data controls on your forms, or whatever, could 
make any impact.

I suppose another thing to consider might be the regional settings of the 
machine where the backend is located?  But I suppose you can't access that 
either.
