AHK started off as a fork of an earlier version of AutoIt.
You may like to look at the current version of AutoIt.
See http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/
Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, I find AutoIt preferable for what I do with it
and find its syntax easier to use (more Basic like).
