John used that as the basis for something he did and may want to share that as well. I'll e-mail it off list. It's template driven from the Access side. You choose a query as a data source, the fields and attributes you want to push into Word, and then save it. You can then execute it at any time. On the Word side, all the user needs to do is create named bookmarks in the text where the data should go. I don't want to reinvent this wheel and I'm sure there must be modules or samples somewhere that I could crib. Does someone have a favorite? I remember trying to do this years ago and the biggest problem was getting the user to set up the fields in the Word doc and linking it to the data source. I'd prefer not to go this way because the user is not that technically able. Rather drive the whole thing from Access but I'm not sure that's possible. You have to define the fields in the doc, no? There is a set of standard docs that the user will be starting with but they want to be able to add docs as they go along.
