[AccessD] Trouble using Split command

My understanding is that the result of the split statement is a one dimensional array. Thus the Dim test() as Variant
The Test = Split(LineText)(0) statement is meant to put the contents of the first array element into the variable Test.
Correct me if I am wrong.
