Hi Drew, My first step is to always work out 90% finished screens with customers. They don't need every screen, but the major ones. This way we can do some back and forth on what they want before I get started, and I learn what they are actually expecting. If I need to make a minor change I just do it, if it's a larger change we talk. And they are more patient with me because they know what they're getting. A big problem is that .Net doesn't really give you a lot of visibility to the end user until the last 15% or so of the job, so it's hard to 'show progress' that is quantifiable to an end client. Did you get that in writing???? As for the following -- why not just say 2 weeks and make him stick to it? If you really need 4 weeks, say 4 weeks!
