Arthur, Are you saying that you use Intelligent Keys to create relationships between tables? Or do you have fields with Intelligent Data which is not used in a relationship between tables, but have a specific meaning to the users of your systems? Is this just a terminology discussion? Just as CPUs are made in large stamped volumes, and hence chopped into individual chips. The problem devolves into batch not individual chips, or eggs for that matter. Much as I love AutoNumbers, I also realize that Intelligent Keys have a place in the world, and everything depends on the discipline.
