Just a note; There are now a little video-chipset block that can just be
inserted into any USB slot and can connect another monitor to a computer.

The price runs from 60 to 150 per monitor. You can even use them with POE to
run remote video and camera feeds.

Most machines now allow multiple monitors and you should try to make sure
that the new computer 
does.  Even my Dell laptop is driving two monitors and it makes an enormous
difference in productivity.
