[AccessD] Tab control

I'm wondering if the tab control has seen much improvement in the ribbon versions? I'm working on a pro bono database and given the ribbon/tab flood throughout the internet -- they're everywhere -- it seems like a tab control would be a great tool for this particular client, instead of the old menu-based central form. 

Has this control seen many changes or does it work as it always has?
