Arthur, But here's the thing and to me it's the biggest rub of all; none of you code logic is portable. Even with Alpha 5, for which I just downloaded the whitepaper and ran though, talks about nothing more then moving *data* to the web. It doesn't address anything with your VBA logic. Maybe I'm missing the point in getting to the web and it just works differently, but from a client's perspective, when they have 10+ years of development in an app and the logic it contains, the last thing they want to hear is "re-write". Everything I've seen so far in regards to Access whether Alpha 5 or Microsoft is never anything more then CRUD operations; to me, that's not an "app" Given that n-tier design has never been doable with Access, there may never be a solution to that, but that's what clients want; be able to take a DB as is and without significant effort, move it to the web. I don't see that in Alpha 5. Already on it, Susan. In fact, I have an inside track on this, but I'm under an NDA so cannot say much more, other than a tool is in the works that promises to convert Access forms to their A5 equivalents. I really love A5 and I think it's the way to go for us Access Developers that have been ditched by MS. As to your wisdom on the writing of books, I'm quite prepared to donate any and all future contributions to the Public Domain. This is made possible due to a) my willingness to Give Back and b) the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP). I didn't save enough or plan well enough, but I shall survive, somehow. No trips to Paris or Barcelona or Mumbai on the horizon, and that is sad, but I shall survive. A.
