Dear List: I sent a prospect my system using Wise/Sagekey to make a run-time install. They do not have Access, although the machine they are running it on has Office Standard - no Access. It ran fine being launched from the startup icon on the desktop. They then bought the system. I sent them the .mde file of the full system, to replace the one they were running. The user changed the target of the shortcut installed by the original run-time install to point to the new mde file. So he is still launching it from the shortcut installed by the Wise script but with an altered target. And now they get an error when they try to open it: "Cannot open (path and file name here) due to security restrictions." Security settings restrict access to the file because it is not digitally signed. Is there a way to get around this problem without getting a digital signature? I don't have time to do that right now - gotta get this guy up and running ASAP.
