All, We have an Access application that is set up in the Windows Scheduler to run every night. This has worked nicely for many months. One of the outputs of this application is a simple flat file. Earlier this week, this automated process failed. We then re-ran it and received this error message The Microsoft Access database engine cannot open or write to the file. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view and write its data. With some digging, we found the process that had opened the file and we cancelled it. Here is my question. Is there an easy way to discern which process is holding a specific file? Thanks, Brad
