Without seeing what he wrote, watch these quotes because chances are you don't have the whole picture. MVP's that are on the beta are only allowed to speak about features that are public and if on the program before that, are not even allowed to say if their in the program or not. Finally, some developers are big on the web side of Access, which is a different beast entirely, and post from that viewpoint. Just as in the past one needed to clearly state if you were working with an MDB vs an ADP, once moving forward must clearly state if your working with a web vs a standard DB. I just picked up this from the Google+ Access Gurus group, posted by Armen Stein, one of the MVPs there: "Speed is a whole different ballgame now. Since 2013 now uses SQL Server to store the data, speed is much better, even over larger recordsets. Also, aggregrate queries are supported again. Overall from what I've seen, database size and speed are not concerns anymore." Looks like my abandonment of the MDB format and serious investment in SQL Server (both alone and as a BE for Access projects) is going to pay off big-time. -- Arthur Cell: 647.710.1314 It's a fallacy to assume that because science can't explain something, that therefore something else can, for example religion. -- Richard Dawkins -- AccessD mailing list AccessD at databaseadvisors.com http://databaseadvisors.com/mailman/listinfo/accessd Website: http://www.databaseadvisors.com
