[AccessD] ACCESS2003 Function is not Expression

Doesn't seem to be causing the problem. I tried doing another query using a
different table and FLetter:Left([FName],1) and still got the error message

Just a thought, is the error with Char in Char:Left([keyword],1)

the reason off hand that I think of this is that isn't Char a reserved word
in Access ?
