[AccessD] What is PostgreSQL Server and why do I have it

Lucky you :) I recently spent a whole day trying to install PostgreSQL in
order to work through a Ruby on Rails tutorial, and succeeded only in
screwing up both the PostgresSQL installation AND Ruby.
