I often think this. Take Windows Phone apps for example. The Windows Mobile App store is missing some key apps that are important for consumers. Take 'Instragram' for example. Like it or loathe, it is a deal breaker for many folks. Now the folks who make instagram have said they don't have the time or resources to make a Window Mobile app given the lousy ROI on their efforts - fair enough given the tiny market share for Windows Phone vs Android / iOS. But for the love of god, why on earth don't MS just fund a dev team at Instagram to create the app. It would cost pennies in the scheme of things and they have billions of dollars sitting around, they should throw some of it at clearing these small, but significant, constraints to their business. Maybe now they are changing the CEO thing might change.
