[AccessD] Access 2010 Report footer at Page Bottom

Question:  This is probably a catch 22 / non-starter but... is there a way
Access can "know" the number of pages in a report without that footer, by
running a version without the footer in "the background" (as if there were
such a thing - am making this up as I go along)... then, re-run the report
with a provision that the footer shall not print unless the current page is
that page count that was achieved from the previous run?

Feel free to tell me I am off the wall and out of air.
