 Fundamentally yes.   

 Anything that has been added to Access since 2007 has been done with web apps in mind.

 But also a secondary objective has been taking Access "back to it's roots"; which is a tool meant for the power end user.

So, you think calculated fields are of the same ilk? A column that updates while someone's updating a table via a web app?
